Astroland’s Fate?

Part one of two photo assignments today was an early morning shoot with a politician who wants to revamp the historic Coney Island district, including Astroland, to boost the economic and job development of the area. Sounds great but who knows what patchwork developments will crop up. We might just get another Atlantic City mess or something that truly keeps that distinct Brooklyn flavor alive.

I was happy to hear that one of the few (and possibly the last) people to refuse to sell his deed of Coney Island space to big time developers was the owner of the Wonder Wheel.
